Surfin' La Union: A Guide for Surfer Newbies by a Non-Surfer
I am no pro when it comes to surfing, that's certain. I can even barely make it to the shore atop my board. But I'd love to share these tips based on the experiences I had as an adventure-seeking traveler who tried surfing even if it got the best of me, just because I ONLY LIVE ONCE. Surfing is not as easy as it looks. It requires strength, balance, endurance and tons of patience and will power. Let's begin! Read more...
Bali, Arts and Soul
An English playwright and composer, Noel Coward, once wrote
to Charlie Chaplin, "It appears that each Balinese native from the womb to
the tomb is creative". And so my trip to this infamous land, where
Elizabeth Gilbert culminated her soul-searching voyage and found love,
discovered this to be true. Let's drift to Bali... Read more...
Simple, Beautiful, Dumaguete
I have never thought I'd like the City of Dumaguete so much. It was my first summer trip for 2013: Dumaguete-Siquijor. This is more of a continuation of the Siquijor blog post, this was the second and final stop for our first trip this summer. Let's go to Dumaguete City... Read more...
Mystical Siquijor: 2D-1N Island Tour
Island of witches, "kulam", "barang" - these are common concepts people usually connect to the island of Siquijor. Sometimes they also relate it to "aswang", which is totally wrong as this folklore is definitely not of Siquijor's. It could be true that there are supernatural forces working or existing within the island, but I came here not mainly for this, but to experience the one of a kind beauty of this piece of wonder in the Visayan region of the Philippines. Jumping Places: My 2012 Travels
I think 2012 was the year when I visited most places. It was a fun, exciting and an awesome travel year! For me, places are like people. They live, breathe in their own ways. I meet them, get to know them, I fall in love with them, sometimes despise them, or pity them. But always I learn something from them. Read more...

Keeping Up with Saigon's Energy
Exploring Ho Chi Minh City was very cheap. Not including the air and bus fares, I only spent USD 100 in this trip, that includes the accommodation, shopping, food, and tour. As always, I take pride in spending the least I can whenever I travel. Our quick stay at Ho Chi Minh was indeed well spent. It was such a vibrant and energetic city you have to keep up with. You’ll also recognize a girl who travels by the fact that she’s always amazed at the world around her, no matter if she’s in her home town or in a place that’s totally new. Hotel Lumbung Sari: A True Balinese Fitting
It was not a typical modern luxurious high-rise hotel.
It's like a secluded Balinese mansion which exteriors seem like untouched
by the outside modern design influence. Don't let the meager reception area fool you. When I
left the reception and entered the hotel, I told myself, Welcome to Bali. Read more...

Taipei is one destination I never thought I'd find so interesting. I love it how I wake up in the morning and see, smell, feel the nature that surrounds our luxurious little villa. When I step out of the bathroom where the mini pool is, I can see the ocean, more of the plants surrounding the entire resort, and the rising sun.
A Taste of Bali in Malaysia
I was so excited about the massage. And the moment I've been waiting for, Aika, Gianine and I were brought to this nipa hut for the massage. The hut was only covered with curtains, the wind gushing in, and you can hear the sound of nature, real sounds and not recorded unlike in the spas in the urban. Read more...

The view of the Pinatubo crater was just AMAZING. It was surreal. Will You Ever Swim with a Whale Shark?
I was sitting at the edge of the small boat running in the middle of the ocean waiting for the spotter to give the signal so we all, my uncle, sister and myself (first batch; second batch being my mom, dad and my brother) jump off the slow-running boat to meet this gentle giant of the ocean locally known as Butanding - the biggest fish in the world.
